Moist Renewal
On September 1, 2025 (Monday), we launched the renewal of Moist. This skincare product harnesses the power of plants to moisturize skin that is prone to fluctuations due to seasonal changes and physical conditions, as well as skin that is partially dry. In addition to Sudachi peel extract, a proprietary moisturizing ingredient of Hokuroku Sosui made from sudachi (Citrus sudachi) grown in Tokushima Prefecture, we have newly added mountain grape sap and birch sap, which are rich in useful ingredients. The new product has been reborn as a skincare product that provides a fresh, moist feeling.
Moisture circulates to the stratum corneum of the skin and prevents dryness

The reason why skin remains healthy even in dry air is that the stratum corneum, which is 0.02 mm thick, acts like a barrier to protect the skin from external stimuli. Skin with a well-maintained barrier function is fresh, moist, and has a good texture. Useful plants contain ingredients that moisturize, circulate, and improve skin texture. Moist is a combination of three botanical ingredients with different characteristics.

Japanese mountain grape sap
Sap from native Japanese mountain grapes grown organically and pesticide-free in the Kuji region of Iwate Prefecture. The rare sap from the tips of mountain grape branches contains sucrose (sugar), malic acid, and amino acids, the building blocks of natural moisturizing factors that provide barrier function, and gives skin moisture and a smooth, flawless texture. -
Japanese white birch sap (Betula platyphylla var. japonica)
The sap is extracted from the trunks of Hokkaido birch trees only during the brief season when the snow melts. During the limited season before the spring buds burst, when a hole is drilled in the trunk of the birch, clear, colorless sap overflows. The precious fresh sap contains glucose and fructose and moisturizes dry skin. -
Sudachi peel extract
It prevents dryness and keeps skin healthy by replenishing the ability of the stratum corneum to circulate moisture and retain moisture. The raw material is sudachi grown without using herbicides in Sanakawachi Village, Tokushima Prefecture. The extract is extracted from the peel that remains after pressing, which had to be discarded.

The useful ingredients of plants are dissolved in the water and oil that make up the majority of the formulas used in Hokuroku Sosui cosmetics. Wild grasses and other useful plants are harvested in season when their ingredients are at their peak, dried until the ingredients are concentrated, and then soaked in subterranean water and plant oils from Mt. Inspired by the ancient Japanese medicinal baths, we have developed our own ingredients, which we call "soaked herb water" and "soaked herb oil," and have blended them into our products. The water and oil that form the base of Moist are infused with ingredients from sweet tea vine and yuzu that are beneficial to the skin. The lotions and sheet masks are further infused with herbal waters of current proof , ginger , peach , cypress
