On December 8 (Mon.), we launched a new line of beautiful indigo-colored furoshiki, dyed many times with indigo dyes produced by the "lye fermentation process" that has been handed down since the Edo period (1603-1868). The "natural indigo lye fermentation process" is a technique used mainly in the Edo period (1603-1867), in which dye solution is made by fermenting indigo leaves and fermenting dye dye dye made of fermented dye leaves together with lye, Japanese sake, bran, and lime. The cloth is ready to be dyed in approximately one week from the start of construction. The more a furoshiki cloth dyed with this technique is used and washed, the more vividly the color changes and the texture increases. You can enjoy the beauty of indigo not only as a cloth for carefully wrapping gifts, but also in your daily life.
