Leaf & Botanics has launched a new "Night Hand Cream"! In addition, the standard hand creams "Lavender" and "Grapefruit" have also been renewed. The new night hand cream is designed to provide intensive moisturizing at night, and light moisturizing frequently during the day. What are the innovations in the formulation to prevent cracked hands in autumn and rough hands in winter with double hand care? We asked the staff of the Research and Development Department.
■Night hand cream
The best part is that it contains vitamin E capsules (tocopherol acetate, a moisturizing ingredient). When blended into the skin, it pops open to form a protective film, keeping the skin shiny and smooth all the way to the fingertips.
The texture is rich and thick with the intention of being used just before bedtime. We arrived at this texture after repeated consideration of the balance of emollients, including avocado oil. It also has good elongation. We were conscious of protecting the moisture that should be present in the skin of the hands, and this is what we focused on in the formulation.
We believe that hand creams containing vitamin E capsules are rare in the market. We are very happy to be able to offer this product to our customers from Matsuyama Oil and Fat.
■Hand Cream Lavender / Grapefruit
As a set with the Night Hand Cream, we took care that this one blends easily into the skin so that it can be used during the day. It glides on easily, is not hard, and has a fresh, "slick" texture. In any case, we made many prototypes with the customer's preference in mind.
Compared to the old product, the moisturizing power has been improved while maintaining the non-sticky feel. Glycyrrhizic acid 2K (skin conditioning ingredient) was also added.
