Cleansing power and gentleness to skin】
There are various types of cleansing formulations, such as oil, gel, and milk. Since the main component of makeup is oil, cleansers contain oil to lift makeup and surfactants to mix oil and water to wash it away. While the high content of oil and surfactants removes makeup thoroughly, it also removes necessary moisture, which can cause skin to dry out. To maintain healthy skin, it is important to choose a cleanser that matches the intensity of makeup and the condition of the skin.
When dryness is a concern, or when the skin is sensitive, a more gentle cleanser is recommended. Hokuroku Sosui's cleansing cream has both moderate cleansing power and is gentle on the skin by reducing friction with its smooth feel and physical irritation as much as possible. The oils used to blend with makeup are plant-derived ingredients such as hybrid safflower oil. Hybrid safflower oil from safflower is rich in oleic acid, the most abundant fatty acid in human sebum. It is highly moisturizing and helps to soften and condition the skin. Surfactants, such as sucrose stearate, are selected from plant-derived ingredients that are mildly irritating to the skin.
Facial skin is very thin, with the stratum corneum of the epidermis being only about 0.02 mm thick and so delicate that even the slightest friction can damage it. To reduce irritation caused by friction when washing the face, we focused on a thick, rich texture that spreads smoothly with body heat when applied to the skin. It removes makeup and dirt without removing too much sebum, and leads to moisturized skin.
