The season has come again this year. Juman Mikan" is a specialty of Sanakawachi Village, where Yamakami Kaju Yakusyoen is located. We fertilize the oranges with organic bedded manure made on the farm, chicken manure and rape seed meal, and use organic JAS-standard machine emulsion to control insect pests. The oranges are usually harvested and stored from November, but at Yamagami Kaju Yakusoen, they are allowed to fully ripen while still on the tree to increase their sugar content; after surviving the severe cold and snowfall from December to January, the oranges have a sugar content of 15 degrees. It is as sweet as a famous melon. The juice is not strained and has a rich flavor.
