On Wednesday,October12, 2022, Yamakami Kaju Yakusen launched its first alcoholic beverage, Citrus Liqueur Yuzu 6%.
Citrus liqueurs are usually made from grains and flavored with fruit juice. On the other hand, Yamashin Kaju Yuzu Yuzu 6% Citrus Liqueur is made from fermented yuzu and single distilled to make the original liqueur. Therefore, it is a "whole yuzu craft liqueur.
It can be served with soda before or during a meal, or on the rocks after a meal, and is suitable for any occasion. Watanabe, the distillation manager at Yamakami Kaju Yakusen, devised a recipe that calls for one-third gin, vodka, or shochu, one-third citrus liqueur, and one-third carbonated. Some staff members like to drink 120mL of beer and60mL of liqueur for a fruity drink. Next month, the company plans to release "Citrus Liqueur Yuzu 25% " for those who want a strong drink.
