On Monday, November 14, 2022, we launched " Citrus Liqueur Yuzu 25% ". Like the previously released " Citrus Liqueur Yuzu 6% ", it is made with yuzu from the fermentation stock and single distillation to make the original sake. Therefore, it is a "whole yuzu craft liqueur.
The first sip has a light sweetness, followed by the tartness of the yuzu juice and the subtle bitterness of the sake. The refreshing taste of yuzu remains.
The distillation method as well as the ingredients are important for the aroma. Single distillation, which preserves the flavor of the ingredients, is used to infuse the aromatic ingredients into the sake. The base sake made with yuzu has an alcohol content of about 55%. Then we blended "whole peel shaved ®Japanese yuzu squeezed vinegar" and "citrus cordial" to create "Citrus Liqueur Yuzu 25%" with a taste and aroma.

To savor the whole yuzu, please try it once on the rocks. Fill a glass to about the eighth fill with large ice cubes, pour in about one-third of the liqueur into the glass, and drink while the ice melts.
For before or during dinner, how about drinking it with soda? The yuzu aroma will make your mouth water. The sugar content is reduced, so it will not interfere with your meal. Aim for 7 soda water to 3 liqueur, but if you are a strong drinker, increase the liqueur ratio to 4 or 5 to suit your taste.
Yuzu citrus liqueur is also available in "6%" but the taste is distinctly different from the "25%" for those who want to drink it slowly. If you are a casual drinker, you will probably like the more palatable "6%". Please give it a try.
